Today we had the release of the Apple’s new iPad. It’s pretty amazing, with lots of cool new features… and even thinner than before. Makes me drool over my keyboard. I’d really like one, but don’t think I’ll get one.
Here are the features that caught my eye:
- Dual-core A5 chip
- Two Cameras – One specifically for video chat
- iPad Smart Cover
- Even thinner
Everything else was pretty much the same. With this release, I was planning on getting the first iPad, because it would probably be cheaper. The problem that I have is that, as soon as i heard the two cameras, the dual core, the smart cover, and that it’s even thinner; well, I want the new one. I can’t win!
Good news is that the iPad first generations you can now grab brand new for $399.
I did think of a couple ways that I could get an Apple like tablet, utilizing what I already own. If you already have a touch screen tablet or even a laptop, you can load Android onto it, which is pretty rich in features. And, the cost is only your time. I think I’m going to attempt to load a port on my Asus Eee T91. I’ll post a tutorial.
