Try out a Ruby Stack on Windows / Mac / Linux

Due to the size and growth of the internet, we’ve seen a stream of new developers join the ranks. HTML and JavaScript development is more popular than ever. I’d really like to see a study done on what percentage of the US knows HTML. If you ask what percentage in the IT sector, It would surely be close to 100%. Because of it’s ease of use, testing, availability, popularity, and now speed, JavaScript is climbing in the ranks. But how do you take learning web development to the next level?

There are many free servers out there, many of them cost money, many are free. But often these are all restricted. Why not load up your own stack, on your own personal machine? You can do that easier than ever with ready made binary stacks, that install using simple GUI and Command Line utilities.

Want a Ruby Stack? Windows, Mac, or Linux, try out: http://bitnami.org/stack/rubystack

Want an easy Windows, Apache, MySQL, PHP stack? Try out XAMPP.

In a matter of 5 minutes, you’ll have a fully loaded testing environment to continue and grow your development skills. Enjoy.
