There will soon be a brand new way to stay even more connected to your online social status, which will be through the communication of a smart wrist watch and no I’m not talking about Apple’s ipod nano. There’s an extremely popular kick starter fund that met its goal of $100,000 dollars to begin its production assembly, but not only did it meets its goal within 2 hours — it achieved funding support of over 2 million dollars in 2 days with another million in funds just around the corner.
The smart wrist watch I’m talking about is the Pebble watch project, by Migicovsky’s Palo Alto-based Pebble Technology. Currently taking orders at Kickstarter.com, a website dedicated for entrepreneurs seeking financial support to back their genius ideas meanwhile also solidifying your contribution with your very own purchase.
The pebble watch is smart — it syncs with your smart phone, high resolution e-paper display, battery 7 days long, e-mail, accelerometer, vibrating motor for alerts, bluetooth, syncs your contacts, music, water proof (you can swim with it) and comes with dozens of apps with an open SDK for the developer community to support their watch app store. It truly is the best tech that can compliment our infatuation with our smart phones and I personally can’t wait to have one of my very own as well.
Take a look at their video pitch below and be sure to visit their website so you can order a piece of this wearable tech! It’s amazing! 🙂
