Disaster Recovery Plans – Hurricanes, Power Loss, and More

Disaster Recovery, the dreaded, but absolutely essential part of every company who relies on storing those 0’s and 1’s. Essential to companies who thrive off computing power and virtual worlds. It’s not often that natural disasters roam the earth, but they do happen, and having a plan means provides: 1) Confidence in further operation, 2) Maintenance of information, and 3) Security. Not having a Disaster Recovery plan can seriously impede investor confidence and in the case that something does happen, can completely wipe out a company.

Here are three common disaster recovery plans in the case that something happens to your Data Center. The three I covered include: Hurricane’s, Water, and Power Outage. All of which apply to Hurricane Sandy.
