Sculpteo 3D Sculpturing Digitally – Visual Preview

I have been thinking about 3D sculpting and 3D design the past couple days. You can blame the Makibox for that one, as I am very excited to get my feet wet. I was doing a lot of 3ds Max, by Autodesk, 3D design for many years, but that was nearly 10 years ago. I’ve also continued to program in 3D as a side passion in OpenGL, DirectX, OpenES, and WebGL.

So, I began hunting for some of the tools used today, and I found some interesting products. I will continue to post more about 3D design and printing as I get more into it. But as a starter, watch this video. It is long, but if you have 10 minutes, see how quickly a gator is sculpted out of a purely round sphere using Sculptris.

There is a lot more information here: http://www.sculpteo.com/en/app/, such as iPhone case designs, cups, and other objects. Compatible for Mac and Windows.
