Toolbox Update – Drupal 6 Password Generator

I have been working with a Drupal site as of late, Drupal 6 to be precise and it’s funny how much 4 years changes the web world. Drupal 6 is still pretty simple and basic, so simple that is still uses simple MD5 encryption techniques to uni-directionally password protect websites. Well, I had to lock a system out and replace passwords to nearly 60 user accounts, so to replace the passwords in the database, I simply used an MD5 encryption function to generate my new passwords and update the database. I will continue to add more of these. I will do WordPress, Joomla, and more Drupal generators. Some are more complex. So for now, if you need a Drupal 6, use this.
